In Her Own Words

What do you do (in 5 words or fewer)?
help make work more comfortable.

What gives you hope?
Seeing change in people, to have hearts turn from hate to a place of understanding gives hope for peace and avoid conflict.

What song gets stuck in your head most often?
I come from a musical background, therefore I am constantly making up my own songs, and trying to create intricate melodies with dissonant chords; I love songs in minor keys!

What is your dream travel destination?
Dream destination is the Greek Isles. I have always been mesmerized with the beautiful white sandstone buildings with crystal blue rooftops set against the crystal blue waters. In addition to the luxury beach feel, you are very close to historical cities like Athens.

Is there a book from your childhood that helped make you who you are today? Explain.
Emotional Intelligence, I read this book over the summer when I was 15 and the content in the book just resonated with me. Ever since that summer I still reference back to the wisdom the book provided.

What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy afternoon?
I live for rainy days, they are picturesque and just makes you pause to appreciate the beauty of nature. In my childhood home I grew up swinging on the outside porch with my family watching the rain and lightning come down, and smelling the fresh fallen rain. Taking a time out from the everyday grind to appreciate the simplicity of rain brings great comfort.

What are you most proud of?
Living in different cities around the United States and experiencing the many cultures that derive from that region. Living in San Angelo, a small military town in west Texas to the celebrity beaches of Malibu, CA. Then living in the rolling hills of Oklahoma City to the bustling streets of Chicago, IL. Next finally settling into the DC area has all enabled me to get a better view of different ways of life and has shaped me into a more consciously aware person
