There are few places where the work that we do with our clients is more important than healthcare. Two of our three partners come from a healthcare background, and given the extraordinary demographics of people working in healthcare, the ability to understand and negotiate diversity has a direct impact on the public health and well-being. Cook Ross has a long history of assisting healthcare organizations of every kind develop inclusive, culturally competent environments. We have worked with dozens of hospitals around the United States and have more than 100 hospitals using our CultureVision™ tool to help their doctors and nurses provide culturally competent care to their patients.
Cook Ross has also created a partnership with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) to provide a range of services to medical schools around the country, particularly in understanding how unconscious bias impacts health disparities. We help facilitate the AAMC Diversity Certification Program for Medical School Leaders, and also conduct Unconscious Bias Learning Labs and Train-the-Trainer programs for medical school personnel.
