Lori Dobeus is the Founding Principal of Advancing Inclusion, a diversity and inclusion consultancy based in London. She is an experienced coach and facilitator with 25 years of experience. Prior to Advancing Inclusion, Lori worked for eight years in McKinsey & Company’s London office, four of which were spent as the global co-lead for internal diversity and inclusion. Her projects include working with leaders to measure and increase the diversity of the talent pool, designing and rolling out Unconscious Bias training for managers, and restructuring the governance of diversity affinity groups.
Lori is passionate about the business case for diversity: She was a contributor to the “Diversity Matters” report published by McKinsey and sits on the advisory committee for Open For Business, a coalition of global businesses committed to articulating the business case for LGBT inclusion.
After graduating with honors from Stanford University, Lori began her career as a consultant at Booz Allen. Following her passion for social inclusion, she went on to found The Women’s Safety Project, a nonprofit providing safety education and empowerment to women in San Francisco. She continued in senior roles at social change nonprofits, including The San Francisco Foundation, honing her expertise in facilitation, program development, business process design, and organizational transformation before returning to the consulting world.
