Antoine J. Edmonson

            Brand and Communications Manager

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.”

 Psalm 82:3

Antoine J. Edmonson is the Brand and Communications Manager at Cook Ross. In his role, he collaborates across departments to create centralized messaging to convey the values, voice, and vision of our company’s ethos.

Before joining the team at Cook Ross, he held the position of Creative Pastor at City Church Dayton (Ohio), where he developed an inclusive environment for artists on the fringe to thrive through creating dynamic, diverse, and inclusive content for Sunday morning experiences and special events. He believes that the work we do must be an expression of our life’s purpose, that it “must make the world a better place.”

Antoine is drawn to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility work by the opportunity to stand in the gap and advocate for people who have been marginalized, overlooked, and discounted. He reasons, “In the bible, I read of a God who spent his life advocating for the overlooked, oppressed, and disenfranchised. Who am I to not follow suit?”

Fun fact: In 2016, Antoine toured the US with his wife for 11 months, popping up in 31 cities doing free concerts for youth organizations to teach students about purpose and identity. If you can’t find him working on his latest album, you can certainly find Antoine making his wife feel special, fanning the flames of his children’s curiosity, cooking food, eating food, watching documentaries about food, daydreaming about food, or refining his witty, yet dry sense of humor.
