Cener Dogan specialises in inclusive leadership and team performance, with a particular focus on inclusive communication, constructive conversations and dialogue in teams, also in Women in Leadership and in cross-cultural and global (virtual) team management. Her work is anchored in people-oriented leadership, team cohesion and collaboration, as well as in sustainable relationships and trust followed by commitment, action and accountability to increase performance, meet strategic targets and stay commercially competitive.
She has trained and coached managers and senior leaders in multinational organisations across Europe. Her industry experience covers the automotive, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and finance and insurance fields as well as business education, retail/wholesale, NGOs and charities. She has worked with individuals and companies including BMW, Barclays
Wealth, Celgene Corp., Crown Holdings, Deutsche Bank, Open Society Foundation, Oxford University Press, Premium Aerotec, Roche Diagnostics and UniCredit Bank.
Cener facilitates constructive conversations and dialogues on topics such as “Diversity and Inclusion”, “Conflict”, “Cognitive Diversity and Collaboration” and “Mental Health and Inclusion” on behalf of NNI Dialogue Institute. This work aims to create psychological safety, trust and a sense of belonging within institutions and public groups.
She co-designed and delivered cross-cultural awareness and skills training for middle and senior managers at leading corporate companies such as MAN Group, METRO Group and The Linde Group.
In cooperation with the Department of Intercultural Communication at the Ludwig-Maximilian University Munich/Germany, Cener co-designed and delivered a program on unconscious bias, awareness building and intercultural skills. This work has been integrated into the Masters Program in Intercultural Communication as a key learning module since 2010/2011. Out of this program, the project “SINIK” was born which has grown into an integrated unit at the university that provides intercultural awareness training, both internally and to other universities aiming for internationalisation.
Cener holds a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Ludwig Maximilian University Munich/Germany and has further studies in Social Psychology and Intercultural Communication.
