Emily J. Duncan is a seasoned facilitator and consultant. With 15 years of professional experience, Emily is passionate about helping organizations build inclusive cultures that leverage diversity.
As a facilitator, Emily’s diverse skills set allows her to match her clients’ needs, skillfully facilitating conversations for a team of four or delivering workshops for 50,000 learners across a globally-dispersed organization. She enjoys helping clients develop customized workshops and has delivered more than 500 workshops across the United States and internationally.
As a consultant, Emily specializes in helping majority culture folks find their role and voice in D&I initiatives, and has a history of developing strong relationships with Fortune 500 companies to build powerful D&I programs. She has deep experience working with fire departments, healthcare professionals and organizations, and the insurance sector. Her areas of expertise include unconscious bias, allyship, intercultural learning/cultural competence, and inclusive team and leadership strategies.
Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, completed two leadership certificate programs, and graduated from the Humanity Academy, all with the University of Kentucky. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her two daughters. In her spare time, she is a nationally recognized officiant of secular weddings and memorial services and is a scout leader for thirty K-5th graders.
