Ella Baker
Erica traces her passion for the pursuit of justice and equity to the time she was a small child, when her family’s move revealed the inequities that communities face and helped her understand her race and class privilege.
Erica began her eventual career path as a student activist, focusing on training, organization development, and anti-oppression within the youth climate movement. She believes that anyone can be part of positive social change and that organizations are critical domains for leading in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) for the wellbeing of their team members and society as a whole.
Erica has over 10 years of experience working with organizations to develop and implement training, organization development, and IDEA solutions. She has an M.S. in Organization Development from American University, a B.A. in Sociology and Women’s Studies from the University of Maryland, and an Executive Certificate in Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Management from Georgetown University.
Erica is a queer woman who grew up outside Washington D.C., where she currently lives with her husband and two cats. She enjoys spending time cycling, traveling, working with animals, and tending to her vast succulent garden.
