James is a global coach and diversity & inclusion expert. His ten-year professional journey began with finance roles in investment banking, private equity and startups. Today, he focuses on helping individuals and teams connect with the business case for inclusion. He is fluent in French and has lived in eight countries across three continents. James has a clear insight of how high-performance teams are built around the world.
His sector experience includes financial services, heavy industry, consumer & retail and non-profit. Prior to joining Cook Ross, he supported a London-based high-net-worth individual with business-ideation and fundraising advice, led a Johannesburg-based startup acceleration program for entrepreneurs from across Africa, and served as an investment associate with a private equity fund in Lagos, Nigeria.
Having begun his career with J.P. Morgan in Paris, James advised Renault, Schneider Electric, Legrand, and Louis Dreyfus on mergers and acquisitions and capital-market transactions.
James is currently qualifying as a practitioner with London’s Academy of Executive Coaching and pursuing an Associate Certified Coach accreditation from the ICF. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Strategy from Sciences Po Paris, and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Montreal.
