Jourdain Henderson (He/Him)
Jourdain holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Masters in Education in Professional Counseling and Higher Education Administration from the University of West Georgia. Prior to Cook Ross, Jourdain held various positions within the higher education field where he was instrumental in organizational and culture development, the evolution of academic curricula, and the implementation of inclusive institutional policies and procedures.
Jourdain is drawn to the field of inclusion, diversity and equity simply because of…..change. According to Jourdain, “We experience it every day, in how we do things, in how we feel, and in how we interact. Change is not easy nor done overnight. It is a process. A process that includes successes and challenging moments. Albeit, there is still much change to experience, but society must be willing to explore all solutions in our reach to inspire and evoke positive change.”
His approach to working in diversity & inclusion is rooted in a solution-based framework that fosters immediate change and lays the groundwork for future generations. In fact, Jourdain’s philosophy of work is that all persons can contribute to a just society when given access to tools and opportunities to learn and thrive. He is there to aid in filling in the gaps both narrow and wide.
In his downtime, you can find Jourdain creating craft cocktails, swimming, attending live events, airplane spotting at the nearest park to the airport, creating digital content, and spending time with his family and friends.
