Keara DeKay is a project manager at Cook Ross. She is an experienced professional who prioritizes active allyship, justice, and advocacy in her Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility work.  In her role, she uses her strategic planning and relationship-building skills to provide creative and efficient IDEA solutions tailored to her clients needs.

Prior to joining Cook Ross, Keara’s career was based in higher education, working for the past 10 years with universities and colleges to create, promote, and manage accessible and inclusive international programs.  Her contributions include creating resources for LGBTQIA+ students, students of color, and international students studying in the U.S.  In 2018, she received the Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion International Education Rising Star Award from Diversity Abroad for her work in creating inclusive programming at the University of South Carolina.

Keara has been shaped by her experiences living and traveling abroad, from growing up in Nigeria to teaching English in South Korea, and loves learning about different cultures.  When she is not at Cook Ross, you can find her hanging out on her stoop in Baltimore with her partner and their dogs, trying a new recipe, or enjoying whatever is new in pop culture.
