Kendra Cabler, Ph.D. is a consultant for Cook Ross. She brings 7 years of experience in the specialty areas of leadership, organizational culture, microaggressions, difficult dialogue, emotional intelligence/effective communication, race, and gender. In her role, she works with stakeholders to impact organizational culture by developing solutions that engage employees, support leaders, and respond to the shifting needs of our global world.

In tandem with her experience as an Inclusive, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility practitioner, Kendra holds a Ph.D. in Adult Learning and Organizational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University, an M.Ed. in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership from the College of William & Mary, and a B.A. in Sociology from the College of William & Mary.

She is committed to this work because it feels like a natural extension of who she is and the impact she hopes to have in creating spaces where we can all thrive freely, without socially constructed limits. She believes that when we are intentional, everyone can feel welcomed and valued members of our communities.

Her philosophy of work is to be intentionalfinish what you start, and build in collaboration. She remarks, “There is no stopping point in this work, it will get heavy and it will get challenging, but that is why we do it together”.

When she is not helping Cook Ross create a more inclusive world, you can find Kendra getting stronger at your local boot camp class, shopping the latest fashion trends (Target anybody?)discovering the best local coffee experience, vibing out to R&B music that spans from (Big) Luther Vandross to Ella Mai, searching for new Latin American restaurants to try, or getting lost in a good book or movie (More than enough: Claiming Space for Who You Are (No Matter What They Say) by Elaine Welteroth is a worthy read)
