Michael Leslie Amilcar is CEO of Cook Ross where she guides the vision and mission of the organization. Under her leadership, she continues to build upon the 32-year legacy of the organization in commitment to advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in the world. 

Driven by a passion to bring about social change in the world, Michael’s experience and accomplishments reveal a relentless dedication to evolving conscious and inclusive leadership that brings greater equity for all. She and her team are committed to building workplaces where every employee, not just a few, can THRIVE. 

Michael’s philosophy of work is to do what she loves, to align her purpose with her passion, and to surround herself with a talented and passionate team committed to eradicating injustice and inequity wherever it exists in the world and in whatever way possible. 

Michael is Afro-Latin born and raised on the southside of Chicago to activist parents, and from an early age, she knew that she wanted to be a part of creating a world where everyone feels valued and respected and where equal rights exist for all.   

Michael is also a wife, mom, entrepreneur, activist, and adoptive family advocate who hasn’t met a challenge she felt could not be solved with the right people working together. She is proud to be at the helm of Cook Ross, working with a talented and passionate team, and partnering with courageous and committed clients.
