Senior Consultant

Minjon Tholen is a diversity and inclusion strategist with almost ten years of experience in advising leaders, designing and facilitating numerous workshops, and leading various projects and programs.

As a Senior Consultant at Cook Ross, Minjon is responsible for a portfolio of strategic internal projects and external client relationships. Her clients include the World Bank, Verizon, Roche Genentech, EMC2, Bank of America, Royal Bank of Canada, Northwestern Mutual, Rockwell Automation, Mitre Corporation, USDA, Tata Communications India, Dutch Ministry of Defense, George Washington University, Duke University Medical School, and the American Cancer Society.

Minjon’s internal responsibilities include consultant learning and development, pro-bono and community-based work, measurable transformation, and global expansion. She has spoken at conferences including the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles Annual Event, SHRM Diversity, Linkage Diversity Institute, and the European Network Against Racism Summit.
Born in Sri Lanka and raised in the Netherlands, Minjon now resides in the U.S. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies cum laude from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, holds a Master of Arts in Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has certificates in Executive Leadership and Strategic HR Leadership from Cornell University.

Minjon’s previous work experience includes managing strategic projects at the Wisconsin Women’s Network and facilitating courses at the Gender and Women’s Studies Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She conducted research at the Institute for Women’s Policy Research and was a New Leader with the Center for Progressive Leadership and the National Council for Women’s Organizations in Washington D.C. Minjon has served as a fellow with the Roosevelt Institute | Pipeline and as a delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York City.
