Sanjita Pradhan (She/Her)
Sanjita Pradhan is a senior consultant with 15+ years of experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Sanjita is very passionate, experienced, and skillful in helping organizations understand their business case for DEI and developing comprehensive strategic plans with measurable goals
Prior to joining Cook Ross, Sanjita held the position of Director of Diversity and Inclusion with the Greater Des Moines Partnership, leading internal DEI strategy and efforts and provided external support for 6,500 business members to help them develop their DEI plans. She provided consultation and guidance to business members across industries and sizes regarding understanding the current state of their culture through a DEI lens, identify stakeholders needed for success, formulation of a multi-year strategies integrated with the business needs of their organizations, and development of governance structures to support strategy implementation.
Sanjita creates and facilitates learning experiences around the foundations of DEI to include unconscious bias, cultural competency, Inclusive Leadership, and developing comprehensive IDEA strategic plans, CEO DEI Roundtable discussions, Inclusion Summits, and Certified Diversity Professional (CDP)® and Certified Diversity Executive (CDE)® classes to enable professionals and executives interested in digging deeper into DEI topics and leading DEI more effectively.
Sanjita has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in India and working on her second master’s degree in Leadership Development at Drake University. Sanjita holds Diversity Professional (CDP) ® and Certified Diversity Executive (CDE)® certifications through the Institute of Diversity Certification and recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Sanjita currently serves as Vice President, DEI with Central Iowa SHRM.
Sanjita identifies as an Asian American, first gen immigrant from Nepal. She uses her knowledge, experience, and position to advocate for building better processes and systems where people of all backgrounds and identities can feel welcomed, heard, and belonged so they can maximize their full human potential. Sanjita lives in West Des Moines, Iowa with her two sons and husband and loves long walks/hikes in nature, cooking and traveling.
