Sema is a Human Resources Professional specializing in Diversity and Inclusion. Fluent in French she has over 10 years of experience in human resources and accounting at companies and organizations in Canada.

Throughout her career Sema has been renowned for her positive attitude, her energy and her passion for people. An experienced and dynamic corporate trainer and inspiring speaker, Sema knows what it takes to engage employees at all levels within an organization. She prides herself on her ability to combine her knowledge of human resources and finance into HR strategies that bring business results.

Prior to joining Cook Ross, Sema worked at National Bank, Quebec’s leading financial institution serving in several key Human Resources roles focusing on Employment Equity and Diversity, Sourcing and Corporate Recruitment.

Sema has also provided bilingual facilitation and training covering topics of diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias, LGBTQ+ awareness and bystander training to several organizations. Some of her clients include PSP Investments, McMillan LLP, Borden Ladner Gervais, Miller Thompson, McGill University, HEC, Médecins Sans Frontiers, Canadian Council of Arts, Agriculture Canada, Aldo, National Film Board, Natural Resources Canada, Cossette Communications and FINTRAC.

Sema is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) holds a Master in Business Administration(MBA) and is certified in the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). She is based in Montreal, Quebec.
